I beg to acknowledge receipt of yours to 966 of 21st June last, concerning your War Office Letter No. 59838/7119 of 11th May last, stating that the Treasury had not yet arrived at a decision regarding the issue of my retired pay while in Hong Kong.
I would respectfully beg that Colonial Office be requested to urge on the Treasury a speedy decision, as my case has been under consideration for upwards of sixteen months.
I would again request it may be brought to notice that, at the present rate of exchange, my salary here amounts to £304
